Text Analysis Tool
Transforms ordinary Sanskrit text into an interactive, analyzable format.
Analyzing Your Own Text
- Navigate to the 'Write Text Here' section of the Navbar.
- Paste or type your Sanskrit text (in any transliteration scheme) in the text input.
- Click on any word to show the roots and access dictionary entries for the word (or words for compounds).
Your text will now appear in the central panel, now fully interactive!

In the example image a passage from the yoga sutra is pasted in the text input in IAST format, and is automatically transliterated to Devanagari. 'cittavṛttinirodhaḥ' is clicked, and automatically split into 'cittavṛtti' and 'nirodha'. Dictionary entries and grammatical information are retrieved for both the words.
note
Since words in compounds are not inflected, they result in the vocative case.
Transliteration Options
- Select your preferred transliteration scheme from the dropdown menu (IAST, Devanagari, Harvard-Kyoto, etc.)
- The entire text will be automatically converted to your selected scheme
- Use the clipboard icon to copy the transliterated text for use elsewhere
